My Teva Squeaks

I've had a pair of Teva sandals for 'several' years now.

Recently, one of them started squeaking when I walk.

So, I emailed Teva (teva.com) and asked if there was a cure for squeaking. The answer was "No, but our sandals should not squeak. We suggest you send them in and we will evaluate them on a case-by-case basis, since they are older than the warranty covers."

A while back, I had a problem with a pair of Asics, and they replaced them with a new pair.

Should I send them in?

First make sure it's not your toes or feet doing the squeaking!

I think it depends on two things - if you can live without them while they're away, and possibly live without them forever in case they don't send them back!

I agree with Jessica.

... as long as Jenny's right, and it's not your feet.
I can't believe they would "evaluate" them...

Ok, so that's a third thing you need to be sure you can live with - someone else wearing your sandals while they test them. Ew.

Ok, I'm going to do it... when we get back from this trip. I'll just squeak around Charleston until then. Who knows, maybe the humidity will cure the problem.

{Julie, I think they offered to evaluate the sandals, not my feet. (heh heh) }

What they Actually said is:

"In response to your inquiry, at this time unfortuantly we do not have a remedy to stop the squeaking of our footwear. However, we our shoes should not squeak and we do suggest sending your footwear back to us for a defect evaluation."

Based on Jenny's suggestion, I probably should have a "defect evaluation" done on my foot. But only the right-hand one.

Ok, is the typo in the quotation yours or theirs?

And... My sloppy use of pronouns also frustrates Tony all the time!

I cut & pasted the quote from their email. I should have added (sic.) to clarify.
So, what's wrong with you're use of pronouns?

I just like that if they were typing, then corrected themselves but didn't delete properly, it implies that their original email said "we should not squeak"

Or "We think our shoes should not squeak..."

I use pronouns without clear antecedents.
