Heli Video
The mini-video camera finally got mounted on the helicopter. It's the white blob underneath the tail.
Here is a view of the heli and camera, looking from underneath.
This is a 1 1/2 minute video made up of segments of a 9 minute flight. The major scenes are: Takeoff
Brief cameo of the pilot
Top of the house
Top of the oak tree in front
Driveway and neighbor's nice landscape area
Top of the John Michael/Naomi tree in back
Not very smooth landing

It's Been A Busy Week Or So
We visited with Great Grandad a few times.
Our friends Ken and Judy were in Dallas, in between their work for Wycliffe Bible Translators in Kenya and their new project in Vietnam which they start next May.
Our friends Ken and Judy were in Dallas, in between their work for Wycliffe Bible Translators in Kenya and their new project in Vietnam which they start next May.Since they were in town, our friends and theirs, Gene and Candice, came over from Slidell, LA for a visit.
Naomi and Danielle came to spend the night. We watched some videos.
And we talked and visitied. Gene and Candice were here, too.
When it was time for Gene and Candice to load their car to head home, Danielle helped.
Winston is Gene and Candice's little dog. He rides in the back seat.
Naomi told Winston goodbye.
Then we all did the Horn Family Goodbye Wave.
We had a nice sunset. It was a busy week or so.

Helicopter Crash in McKinney
There was a minor helicopter crash near a home in south McKinney this afternoon. The pilot apparently lost control of the aircraft, and it dove into a bush next to the front window of the house.

The owner of the house, who was home at the time, said "I saw it coming at me at a high rate of speed, and I wasn't sure what to do, so I just stood there and watched it crash." The other occupant of the home was overheard telling the pilot "I don't think you can afford to keep doing that."
Fortunately, the tiny passengers of the helicopter were all made of plastic, so there were no fatalities. The remains of the aircraft were repaired and test-flown later in the evening. The bush is expected to recover.

I Don't Do Free Surveys
Ok, I've had it. From now on, when someone calls with a cheerful "Howdy Do, would you answer a few questions" my answer will be "Yes, if you pay me. I'm sorry, but I don't answer questions and give personal information for free. Can you use Paypal to deposit money in my account?"
My rate will be $60 per hour.
