Third Birthday Party

Since we missed Naomi's official birthday party, she came over so we could celebrate with her. This may have been her Third party (yes, third birthday, but that's beside the point.)
She demonstrated extreme precision and speed removing the wrapping paper from her gifts. Her most frequent response was "I LOVE it!"

One of them was a great book about NASA and Cape Canaveral from Aunt Jessica. (Yes, they changed it back from Cape Kennedy to its original name due to objections from the local residents. It is still Kennedy Space Center, though.)

Here was one that didn't register on the "oh, what a great gift" scale. Until later.

Mimi got to try out the nifty mirror built into the nifty purse.

There was also a t-shirt with a portrait of "The Big Dog". A Keatshirt?

There were balloons, too. This one had a happy face behind it!

After the opening ceremony, we took a break and went outside to check for tomatoes, among other things.

It turns out the strange present was an Ice Cream Ball. It has an opening on one side for ice and salt, and on the other side for cream and sugar.

You roll and shake the ball to freeze the ice cream. It makes one pint. It actually worked quite well
