Our oak trees are having a bumper crop of acorns this year. These are from the red oak in the back yard.
Not as sincere as a field of pumpkins, but notably numerous nonetheless.

The squirrels love them...m/g
We've discovered the squirrels also love to store them under the hood of our loaner car when it is parked near the tree.
After vacuuming 50 acorns out of various recesses on and around the engine, we now park in the driveway, as far as possible from the front and back oaks!
And there are little boys who are thrilled with them!
