Egg Day

The morning began earlier than usual - it's Egg Day!
Soon, the hunt began in earnest. Also, in the house, since outside was chilly and rainy.
 Got one!
 Everyone pitched in.
 Checking in the kitchen...
 Yep, they are all in.
Someone went off to a private place to sample the chocolate goodies.
Sharing the chocolate eggs with Daddy. It was hard, at first.
After all that strenuous hunting, it was play time.
 And clay time.

FUN!! Is the egg hunt big in England or is that an imported tradition??

Also, are those real eggs or plastic eggs?

Not only are they real, they are Duck eggs! All the chicken eggs here are brown, which don't dye very well at all.
When we were in the store shopping for eggs, Jessica found a goose egg. It was HUGE!

We had a hard time remembering it was Egg day here, it was so late in the season. I boiled some eggs, but they didn't get dyed. We did have our traditional Scotch eggs for breakfast.
Fortunately, the Clemson Easter bunny still had a lot of leftover plastic treats from last year and had not yet completely eaten all the malted milk eggs from this year...
