Gaylord Texan
We (finally!) got visit the Gaylord Texan thingy - thanks to our friends Carol and Dick Best (see them in the background.
This is them in front of the mosaic fountain wall at the Texan Grill restaurant, where we had a yummy lunchner on the way home from DFW. Thanks, Dick and Carol!
It's a big fancy-dancey conference center in Grapevine. It has a big enclosed atrium area with simulations of regions of Texas (Palo Duro Canyon, Hill Country, Riverwalk, etc) and hotel rooms and restaurants. We've wanted to go see it since it opened a few years ago, but it's a little on the expensive side... The Best's took us there for lunch when we picked them up at DFW this week.

What is the Gaylord Texan thingy? I remember y'all mentioning it, but I can't remember in what context or what it is, beyond a place with a fountain?
