It appears the big hit this year is Deep Fried Frito Pie.
Has anyone thought of Deep Fried Barbeque Chicken yet? (or pork, or beef of course...)
If it appears at next year's Fair, I hope I get a royalty.

Would deep fried BBQ chicken just be like marinating a chicken with BBQ sauce and then frying it in the usual way? Or it be different somehow?

I was thinking more of slices of BBQ'd chicken dipped in batter and fried. Maybe barbeque-sauce flavored batter. It seems batter is a major component of most of the Fair-fried stuff.
Hmm. Battered barbequed ribs fried in a spicy oil - you may have something there!
