I was in Ft. Lauderdale for a two week training session on SEL computer operating system support. Jenny was 7 when she made this card for me.
The figures are saying "DeeDee" (the girl who lived next door) and "DeeDee went home". I suspect the tall person is either Mom, or Merleen (DeeDee's mom).
I gather DeeDee had to go home before they got to play in the water.Jenny still likes to hand-make cards!

WOW! That's neat to see! But I sure could have used a spell checker back then.
wonder when the "ie" in my name changed to a "y" ??
and yes, i do still like to make cards. i guess some things never change!
I wondered about the ie to y, too. Any ideas, mom and dad?
We discussed it and we remember perfectly --- NOT!!
We probably tried out both spellings at first, but Mom remembers that we settled on y at some point to differentiate from Jennie Huber.
I love the spelling - clearly driven by an understanding and command of phonics, and not constrained by convention!
